PURPOSE: A method for announcing telephone numbers is provided, so that users can visually receive telephone numbers on liquid crystal displays(LCDs) through telephones having functions of outputting dual tone multi frequency(DTMF) signals, transmitted by telephone operators, by making the telephone operators transmit the DTMF signals to the users. CONSTITUTION: A method for announcing telephone numbers using dual tone multi frequency(DTMF) signals, comprises the steps of: making a telephone operator use DTMF signal generators of a telephone keypad and a computer, and making the telephone operator press number buttons of a telephone or input a computer keyboard to transmit a DTMF signal to a user; making a telephone having a function of outputting the DTMF signal and a DTMF signal outputting device of the user receive the DTMF signal, and displaying the DTMF signal to make the user visually receive a telephone number.
