PURPOSE: An ideal type search system using a facial image and control method therefor is provided to maximize information utilization by searching information having a high similarity to facial image information inputted from an authenticated user in a database having various facial image information and transmitting the searched information to the user along with other requested information, and to accurately search image information of an ideal type that the user wants by performing image searching after fine-adjusting parts of the facial image information so that a facial image matches the user's preference. CONSTITUTION: An ideal type search system using a facial image and control method therefor includes the following units. A plurality of user interface units(1) generates membership information and facial image information and searches required images and membership information. A web server system unit(2) searches membership information and optimized facial image information according to an image and character information search signal inputted from the plurality of user interface units(1). A central arithmetic processing unit (9) includes a data control unit (13), which analyzes inquiries, according the search of a user, inputted through a communication device unit (8) and controls the production of information of n of facial images.
