PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sliding down of unit catalyst without increasing draft loss. SOLUTION: This structure body 10 is produced by housing unit catalysts 3 each of which is wrapped with a buffer material in both end parts in layers in a unit frame, producing the catalyst units 6 by forming projections for catalyst engagement as to bring respective unit catalysts 3 into contact with other neighboring unit catalysts 3 in at least one part, and housing the catalyst units 6 in a plurality of layers in a block frame 7. Supporting plates 8 are so installed in the joining parts of the neighboring catalyst units 6 or in the joining parts of the neighboring unit catalysts 3 constituting the catalyst units in the open ends of block frames 7 as to touch the unit frames and keep gaps from the unit catalysts 3.
