PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deformation of a guide rail by the weight of a tail cord by fixing a support arm member to the guide rail, providing a hook part on the support arm member, and providing a backing member on the back of the guide rail in the vicinity of the fixed position of the support arm member. SOLUTION: A support arm member 8a is fixed to a guide rail 7 in the center part of an elevator shaft by a clip 5 and a bolt 6. The support arm member 8a has a hook part (hook) 9 for hooking a tail cord 3. A wire 4 in the tail cord 3 is caught on the hook 9. In order to prevent the deformation of the guide rail 7 by the weight of the tail cord 3, a backing member 10 is provided on the back of the guide rail 7 in the vicinity of the fixed position of the support arm member 8a by a clip 21 and a bolt 22. The sectional coefficient sufficient in strength to the moment added to the guide rail 7 by the weight of the tail cord 3 can be ensured by the backing member 10.
