PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling joint cover device which can be made with a simple construction at a low cost, be installed easily and be capable of smoothly absorbing the tremble without being damaged even when the right and left buildings tremble in different directions such as back and forth or right and left by an earthquake. SOLUTION: This device comprises a joint cover push-up pieces 5 formed at an end portion on the joint portion side of a ceiling material 4 attached to a framing body of the ceiling region of one building 3 of the right and left buildings 3 built through a joint portion 2, a guide rail fixed to a back and forth direction of the framing body of other building of the right and left buildings 3 at the region opposite to a joint cover push-up piece 5, and a moving body 7 attached slidingly and movably to the guide rail. And if the joint portion 2 becomes narrow at the tip portion in contact with the joint cover push-up piece 5 supported by hinges at the rear end portion to the moving body 7, the ceiling comprises a joint cover 9 rotated upward by the joint cover push-up piece 5 and a holding device 10 which can be rotated above the tip portion of the joint cover 9 and prohibits the downward rotation in the configuration.
