PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alarm an abnormal oil pressure regardless of a change in engine speed. SOLUTION: In an engine wherein oil in an oil tank 57 is fed to the part to be lubricated of the engine through an oil passage 59 by an oil pump 24, the engine comprises an oil pressure sensor 61 disposed to linearly detect an oil pressure in the oil passage; a means to calculate an oil pressure, higher than an oil pressure corresponding to engine speed and necessary to protect an engine, as an alarm oil pressure; and a means to alarm when the oil pressure is reduced to a value lower than the alarm oil pressure.
