PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and reliably polish both blades in a closed sate of scissors by forming edges of both blades in a shape positioned on the same line as a mating blade shoulder in a nipped-off and closed state of opposed both blades of general clipping scissors. SOLUTION: In general clipping scissors and pruning scissors, since the cross- sectional shape of a nipped-off and closed state of both blades becomes an L shape, the edge cannot be sharpened in the most easily handled, nipped-off and closed state. To cope with this, the edges of both blades are formed in a shape positioned on the same line as a mating blade shoulder in a nipped-off and closed state of both blades. According to this, since a sharpening surface of both blades becomes the same line, the sharpening surface can be easily and reliably polished. The edge of the scissors is nondangerous and safe since the edge does not come outside the other blade shoulder. Thus, since the scissors can be always used in a sharp state, the cutting quality of an object to be cut can be improved.
