PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display detected abnormal shadows of multiple kinds by a method suitable for observation reading respectively. SOLUTION: In this display method, only the local image P2' of a fine calcified shadow candidate P2 within detected abnormal shadow candidates P2, P3 is expansion-processed than the fine calcified shadow candidate P2 displayed as part of the whole image P1 in the whole image P1. The local images P2', P3' of the abnormal shadow candidates P2, P3 are displayed in the display region of an image display means 40 together with the whole image P1' applied with ROI frames R2, R3.
