PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a single organic fluorescent material having an identical deterioration speed and to form a high quality image by one process of exposing, the image being hardly changed in a color tone. SOLUTION: Color filters 30 of RGB colors each having the surface covered with an overcoat layer 31 are formed on a substrate 21 such that they are in parallel in the main scanning direction by each being in a line shape in the sub-scanning direction. Anodes 22 are formed on the color filter 30 being arranged in a staggered fashion in the main scanning direction. An organic layer is formed on the anodes 22. Cathodes 28 are formed on the organic layer in parallel in the main scanning direction being across the anodes 22. A light emitting layer 23 between the intersections of the anode 22 and cathode 28 is partitioned to be in a dot by an aperture on an insulation layer. Light emitting dots of each of RGB colors each consisting of the combination of the color filter 30 and layer 23 are arranged in a staggered fashion in the main scanning direction. The cathodes 28 are sequentially scanned and image signals of each color are inputted to the anodes 22 in synchronism with the scanning, then a head is moved in the sub-scanning direction with respect to a recording medium in synchronism therewith. By one time of scanning of the head, multiple exposure of dot lights of RGB colors is executed on the identical position on the recording medium.
