PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a recording sheet suitable for the high grade printing for which a sharp image of dot reproductivity and high coloring density is required, for example, the printing of a book of paintings, a photograph and the like in the electrocoagulation printing. SOLUTION: A recording sheet is provided with a coated layer composed of at least one kind filler and a binder selected out of a group composed of synthetic amorphous silica, silica sol and colloidal silica and formed on a substrate, and the ratio of contact when 40 kg/cm2 pressure is applied by a specular reflection type smoothness gauge and measured in the 0.5 μm wavelength rays is 40% or more. Also the damping time found out of the absorption curve of pure water by a dynamic scanning liquid absorption meter is 15 millisecond or less, and the absorption coefficient is 10 ml/m2s-1/2 or more, and the Bekk smoothness of the coated layer surface based on JIS P 8119 is 250 seconds or more. |
