PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the locking of a fan by freezing while keeping a small tip clearance by setting the clearance between the tip of the blade part of the fan and the inner wall of a cylindrical shroud formed so as to surround the outer circumference of the fan to be larger on the lower side of the fan. SOLUTION: A blower device 10 has a fan 1 rotated by a motor 3 and a shroud 2 formed so as to cover the outer circumference of the fan 1, and the motor 3 is supported on the shroud 2 through a plurality of motor stays 4. In this case, the shroud 2 is designed so that the clearance (tip clearance) between the tip 1K of the blade part 1F of the fan and the surface 2K opposite to the blade 1F of the shroud 2 is small as the whole, and the chip clearance just under the blade part 1F of the fan 1 is large. According to this, water drops such as rainwater adhered to the fan 1 can be prevented from adhering extending over the parts 1K, 2a to prevent the locking of the fan by freezing.
