PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift-type legless chair to be used mainly in a room with an additional function for assisting a user to stand up/sit down by lifting/ lowering the seat, and with a novel structure for allowing not only an ordinary person but a handicapped person or an old person with a disabled body to use the chair daily. SOLUTION: This chair has front and rear symmetrical folding arm parts 5 with upper and lower link rods 52, 53 and 56, 57 which are expasible and foldable with joints 54 and 58 respectively. The lower ends of the lower link rods 52 and 56 are integrated with lower symmetry transmission gears 41, with the upper ends of the upper link rods 53 and 57 integrated with upper symmetry transmission gears 42 mounted on the bottom of the seat part 9. In addition, a driven sprocket wheel 71 is mounted in the middle of the lower link rod 56 of the rear folding arm part 55, and a drive motor 62 for driving sprocket a main driving wheel 61 is mounted on a base 1 near the front folding arm part 51. And the end of a chain 8 to be wound around the main driving sprocket wheel 61 is attached in the middle of the lower link rod 52 of the front folding arm part 51 via the driven sprocket wheel 71.
