PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable obtaining an appearance having a high grade feeling in a reel body of a round-shaped reel and also making it as a low profile. SOLUTION: This reel body 1 of a double bearing reel is equipped with a pair of sideboards 10, 11, two connecting members 12a, 12b and a rod- mounting part 4. The pair of sideboards are arranged in the spool shaft direction by taking a distance and their outer circumferential parts are cut-processed into a round shape centering on a standard position O1. The upper connecting member 12a connects both sideboards arranged by taking a distance and is cut processed at its outer circumferential surface. The rod-mounting part 4 extends along the longitudinal direction of the fishing rod and formed as one unit with some of the middle part of the lower side connecting member 12b. In the outer circumferential surface of the upper side connecting member 12a, a middle part 12c where the rod-mounting part is formed at the lower side connecting member, is cut-processed into a round shape from the first standard position and centering on a second standard position O2, and the other part is cut-processed into a round shape centering on the first standard position O1.
