PURPOSE: A financial transaction system and method utilizing a computer and a video conference system is provided to overcome the restriction to time and space, solve all problems occurred in financial transactions, such as productivity increase of a bank, identification, an erroneous recognition prevention, and improve an on-line banking service for a customer by cost reduction by performing a remote financial transaction using a computer, its auxiliary equipment and a network communication method. CONSTITUTION: A financial transaction system and method utilizing a computer and a video conference system includes the following units. A remote customer terminal(11) allows a customer to transmit/receive images and voice messages to/from a bank-teller terminal(13) and request a financial transaction, and outputs the corresponding response message on a screen. A relay server system(12) stores data transmitted/received between the remote customer terminal(11) and the bank-teller terminal(13) and connects the remote customer terminal(11) and the bank-teller terminal(13) via a network. A bank-teller terminal(13) transmits/receives images and voice messages to/from the remote customer terminal(11) via the relay server system(12) and transmits/receives data to/from the relay server system(12).
