In a process for the gas-phase polymerization of alpha-olefins at from 20 to 130° C. and pressures of from 1 to 100 bar, the polymerization is carried out in a tubular reactor having a length:diameter ratio of >100 and the growing polymer particles pass through the tubular reactor in its longitudinal direction without a significant part of the polymer particle stream being circulated. |
