ORIENTED FILM OF ETHYLENE (CO)POLYMER AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide oriented films excellent in high strength and strength balance in the lengthwise and crosswise directions, and a process for producing the same. SOLUTION: In the oriented films composed of a composition comprising (A) an ethylene (co)polymer which meets (a) a density (d) of 0.86-0.97 g/cm3; (b) a melt flow rate of 0.01-50 g/10 min; (c) a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 1.5-4.5; and (d) a composition distribution parameter (Cb) of 1.08-2.00 and (B) another ethylene (co)polymer by ionic polymerization, the crystal orientation factor value (H) measured by the X-ray diffraction method of the film and the long-term relaxation component area (S) defined by the relaxation spectrum of the composition meet the relationship represented by the formula: H<=35×S-30.
