PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition having high flame resistance even in thin molded articles, excellent thermostability and the like and excellent in whiteness of flame resistant resin composition by including a specified liquid crystal resin and silicone rubber or the like. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by including (A) 100 pts.wt. liquid crystal resin including ethylenedioxy units and (B) 0.1-20 pts.wt. silicone rubber and/or silicone resin. The ingredient A is e.g. a liquid crystal polyester resin consisting of structural units of formula I to formula IV (R1 is formula V; R2 is formula VI or the like) or a liquid crystal polyester resin consisting of structural units of formula I, formula II and formula VI. The structural unit of formula I is formed from p-hydroxybenzoic acid, the structural unit of formula II is formed from aromatic dihydroxy compound, the structural unit of formula III is formed from ethylene glycol and the structural unit of formula IV is formed from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid such as terephthalic acid. |
