PURPOSE: A camera capable of varying a recording region with a fixed view sight and a method thereof are provided to fix the region of objects taped and to vary the taping region in a fixed view finder. CONSTITUTION: A camera capable of varying a recording region with a fixed view sight includes a region fixing/releasing switch, a taping range varying switch, a first driver, an image fixer, a second driver, a motion controller, and an object observer. The region fixing/releasing switch fixes/releases the range of the object. The taping range varying switch outputs a signal for varying the range of the object. The first driver varies the range of the object. The image fixer fixes the image of the object. The second driver drives the taping range by driving the image fixer. The motion controller fixes/releases the mode according to signal of the region fixing/releasing switch, and controls the first and second drivers. The object observer displays the taping range according to the control signal of the motion controller so as to observe the object to be taped.
