PURPOSE: An input buffer circuit accepting input signals more than an electric power voltage is provided to accept input signals having more than a predetermined electric power voltage. CONSTITUTION: An input buffer circuit accepting input signals more than an electric power voltage comprises: an input section (10) for generating transmission signals less than a power voltage level with respect to input signals (IN) having a predetermined power voltage (VCC); a buffer section (20) for, formed between a predetermined source voltage providing stage and an earth voltage (VSS), buffering the transmission signals and generating output signals (OUT); and a source voltage providing section (30) for responding to the output signals and providing the predetermined source voltage to the source voltage providing stage of the buffer section. The source voltage is the power voltage level if the transmission signal voltage level is the earth voltage level. However, the source voltage is the transmission signal voltage level if the voltage level of the transmission signals is the power voltage level. The buffer section provides current paths for discharging electric charges of the output signals at a source transiting the output signals to the earth voltage level.
