A multi functional device, immersed in a swimming pool, can be used to both filter the water and provide turbulence or massage water jets. When in use for filtration a pump (4) draws water through filter cartridges (2). A lever (12) can cause water flow to by-pass the filters and be pumped directly through a nozzle (20) in the side of the casing.
