A method for compressing a single frame of 3D geometrical data, the geometrical data comprising definitions of a multiplicity of points comprising a 3D model, the method including determining a bounding shape which bounds only a part of the 3D model, and reducing the precision of 3D geometrical data based, at least in part, on the bounding shape. Related apparatus and methods, including a system for providing compression services to a plurality of requesters, are also disclosed. |
