A HIGHLY CO2 TOLERANT CHLORELLA SP. KR-1 AND CO2 FIXATION TECHNOLOGY USING CHLORELLA SP. KR-1

PURPOSE: A carbon dioxide tolerant microorganism and a method for fixing carbon dioxides using the same are provided, therefore, the environmental pollution caused by carbon dioxides can be solved and the fermented culture of the microorganism can be added into an animal feed-stuff. CONSTITUTION: The carbon dioxide tolerant microorganism Chlorella sp. KR-1(KCTC 0426BP) is prepared by the steps of: taking a sample from the soil and river and incubating it in MBM broth containing 250 mg/l of KNO3, 75 mg/l of KgSO4·7H2O, 75 mg/l of KH2PO4, 175 mg of K2HPO4, 25 mg of NaCl, 10 mg of CaCl2·2H2O, 2 mg of FeSO4·7H2O and 1 ml of A-5 solution with supplying carbon dioxide mixed gas for 3 weeks; incubating the samples on Detmer solid medium at 25 to 27 deg. C for 2 to 3 weeks; isolating colonies grown on Detmer solid medium; and incubating colonies in MBM broth. The carbon dioxide is fixed by incubating Chlorella sp. KR-1(KCTC 0426BP) in the presence of carbon dioxide in the concentration of 10 to 70%.
