SUBMERGED NOZZLE IN PARALLEL MOLD FOR THIN SLAB CASTING

摘要

PURPOSE: A submerged entry nozzle for thin slab is provided to minimize the resistance against molten steel flow by shaping the submerged entry nozzle to be streamlined, thereby brake-out and cracking of thin slab that has been occurred can be avoided. CONSTITUTION: In a submerged entry nozzle capable of continuous casting of thin slab by discharging molten steel in the bottom direction, a refractory member (20) is attached around outer surface of a body (10) having a hollow part (12) for flowing molten steel so that resistance against molten steel flow is minimized. Also, length ration of A/a and B/b is both in the range of 1/10 to 1/2.
