The protective jacket (10) comprises of a tubular outer layer (11) formed from woven strands enveloping the electrical wires (5). The wires are fixed at one end to a mobile section (1) such as a seat and to a fixed point (8). The jacket is formed such that it can expand and contract with the movement whilst retaining a straight outer configuration. An Independent claim is included for an electrical wire bundle for an automobile utilizing the described protective jacket.
