The paneling plate for a building floor has rectangular lower (4) and upper faces (5). The upper face has a rib (7) extending longitudinally with a height (h) equal to the thickness of the covering panels and a width smaller than the upper face. The width is such that the rib extends on either side of the plate longitudinal axis for a fraction of the contact surface of the end of at least one panel.
