PURPOSE: A crush pad in a testing vehicle is provided to check the assembling performance and the arrangement of all kinds of wires and duct equipments with the naked eye. CONSTITUTION: To produce a crush pad, a NC(numerical control) frame is produced using a NC program and a master model die is produced. Then, a negative type lower die is produced using FRP(Fiber reinforced plastic) materials. Sheet wax is coated on the lower die as thick as the body of the crush pad and an upper die is produced using silicon. After removing the sheet wax, the surface of the crush pad is processed to create a boss, a rib and an undercut portion. After that, an upper and a lower silicon die(7,8) are formed using a master product(5) and transparent resin is poured in the silicon dies to complete the crush pad. Due to the transparent crush pad, the assembling state and the arrangement of wires and duct equipments in an engine room are checked with the naked eye.
