摘要 PURPOSE: An operation period-adaptive data output buffer is provided to improve a noise margin by reducing the size of the output driver and to accelerate the operation speed by enlarging the size of the output driver at high operation frequency. CONSTITUTION: The operation period-adaptive data output buffer includes the first and second pull up transistors(N11,N12), the first and second pull down transistors(N13,N14), an operation period detector(11), the first output driver(13,15,17,19), and the second output driver(12,14,16,18). The first and second pull up transistors are coupled between the source voltage and the output node. The first and second pull down transistors are coupled between the output node and ground. The operation period detector generates the first control signal when the operation period is small and the second control signal when the operation period is large. The first output driver drives the first pull up and pull down transistors using the first and second data signals with response to the first control signal. The second output driver drives the second pull up and pull down transistors using the first and second data signals with response to the second control signal.
