The invention relates to a compressed-air operated roller vibrator in which the compressed air for driving the roller-shaped rotor (20) is injected into the rotor chamber (18) from a peripheral compressed-air supply duct (24) which is situated behind a bearing race (14) through compressed-air delivery nozzles in several points along said periphery such that the air passes through the bearing race (14) and into the rotor chamber (18). Unlike in known embodiments of such roller vibrators, the exhaust air is not evacuated via the housing faces but through ducts situated in said faces or via openings in the bearing race (14) is delivered to annular ducts which are positioned parallel to the compressed-air supply duct (24) between the housing (2) and the bearing race (14). From widened areas (36) of said annular ducts the exhaust air is collected in a transverse duct (38) and delivered to an exhaust air outlet opening (34) which extends in a plane perpendicular to the axis (8) of the housing and perpendicularly to a mounting surface (4) of the device discharges in the side situated opposite said mounting surface.
