The invention concerns a method for preparing 2-aminobenzophenone derivatives as well as the process intermediates, namely 2-nitrobenzophenone derivatives. The invention first concerns a method for preparing a 2-nitrobenzophenone derivative according to a selective nitration method in position 2 of a benzophenone derivative characterised in that it consists in reacting a benzophenone derivative, with a NO2<+> source in the presence or in the absence of an inert organic solvent. The invention also concerns a method for preparing a 2-aminobenzophenone derivative characterised in that it consists: in a first step in performing a benzoylation reaction on a benzene compound, in the presence of a Friedel-Crafts catalyst; in a second step in performing nitration of the resulting benzophenone derivative in position 2 as described above; in a third step, in performing a catalytic hydrogenation of the nitro group into an amino group.
