A coated glass article (10) is comprised of a transparent infrared reflectiv e coating (20) disposed on each major surface (12, 14) of a glass substrate (11). The glass article (10) has a particular application as part of the window assembly for an oven door (42) of a self cleaning oven (40). The wind ow assembly (70) includes a first glass substrate (74) and a second glass substrate (80) and a frame (90) which supports the first and second glass substrates in a spaced apart and mutually parallel relationship. An infrared reflective coating (20) is disposed preferably on both major surfaces (12, 1 4) of the first and second glass substrates. The invention also includes the method of making the coated glass article.
