The present invention relates to an oil-in-water emulsion having the followi ng composition: 0.01-30 % polydimethylsiloxane that has a degree of polymerisation of n = 20-400 and kinematic viscosity of 20-1,300 mm2/s, 0.01 - 15 % hydrophile emulgator, 45-99 % biocompatible saline solution and 0.01-10 % dimethylsulfoxide. The inventive oil-in-water emulsion can be used for producing a medicament against systemic inflammation, intensive care, virus diseases such as hepatitis C and aids, ulcerative colitis, Chron's disease, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, infectious hospitalism and/or infections of viral and/or bacterial genesis, bronchial asthma, infections of the kidneys and the urinary tract, migraine, rheumatoi d arthritis, Sudeck's syndrome, acute and chronic inflammations, phlebitis, arteritis, acute and chronic states of exhaustion, tumours, muscular dystrop hy and/or atrophy, haemorrhoids, chronic ischaemic heart disease, hypertonia, aging processes, acute and chronic pain, spasticities, polyneuropathies, prostate neoplasia, psilosis, impotence, neurodermitis, cervical syndrome, tissue traumatism or for the treatment thereof.
