<p>An imaging system includes a plurality of sources (21) for providing excitation radiation of different wavelengths, a lens (53) for focusing one or more of the excitation wavelengths onto a sample surface (55) to produce fluorescent emission (69), and a mirror (51), configured as a geometric beamsplitter, disposed in the transmission paths of the emission radiation and the excitation radiation (67) subsequent to reflection from the sample and collimation by the lens, wherein the mirror is utilized to reflect one of the excitation radiation and emission radiation such that the emission radiation is directed to a detector (81) and the excitation radiation is directed away from the detector.</p> |
