The closure device has a closure part (8) for attachment to the boot lid (1) or pref. on the vehicle body (26) and an interacting lock (2) that holds the closure part after engaging it with a rotary catch (4) or similar and releases it after an opening actuation. The closure part passes or can be moved into a concealed position after reaching a boot lid opening position and after releasing and exiting from the lock.
