The invention concerns a method for filtering paper pulp using an apparatus comprising a rotor and a stator; one of the two, the filter (1), comprises perforations shaped like slots or holes and the other, the backwashing filter, comprises means for generating pressure pulses, consisting in countering the gradual clogging of the perforations of the filter and the gradual flocculation of the pulp between the rotor and the stator by producing deflocculation zones and/or increasing the speed between the pulp and the backwashing filter.
