A structure member providing an ultra-high water-repellent function, a high durability and a high abrasion resistance and a manufacturing method thereof, wherein a water-repellent structure (100) composed of arbitrary recesses and projections (18) having a uniform height is formed on the outer surface of the member and the recesses and projections (17, 18) are so sized that a droplet does not fall into a recess and is in contact with an air layer (20) of the recess (17).
