The invention relates to a method and to a device (1) for measuring the variations of vacuum in a milking machine (22), especially for milking cows. A first sensor (2) for measuring the vacuum at a measuring point (M1-M11) of the milking machine and at least one second sensor (2) for measuring the pressure measured values of the sensors (2) are obtained during a short measuring period. Said values are correlated to one another in order to determine a variation in pressure during the measuring period on the basis of the measured values of the two sensors (2). The device (1) and the method effectively prevent a reflux of milk around the teats.
