Tank closure has clamshell doors and locking cap which need not be removed when refilling vehicle tank

A tank holding a charge of liquid has a two-part clamshell (2,3) closure which opens and closes along a mid-line. After closure, the clamshell is retained in the shut position by a screw-fit ring-cap (1) with a central aperture (Z). The ring-cap acts as a clamp on the clamshell doors. Partial unscrewing of the ring cap allows the clamshell doors to open, and the tank to be re-charged through the central opening.
