摘要 The operating method has the pressure within the high pressure fuel chamber (6) supplying the fuel injection valves for the engine measured via a pressure sensor (8), for supplying a signal to a control device (10) for a pressure control valve (7), used to maintain a constant fuel pressure. The pressure sensor is calibrated for pressure measurements in the low pressure range using the low pressure provided by the low pressure fuel pump (2), upon disconnection of the main fuel feed pump (5) providing the high fuel pressure.
