An abrasive combination (I), for use in the optical industry, consists of (A) a neutral or slightly acidic abrasive agent and (B) a polyurethane foam sheet that has a water resistant, double sided adhesive tape on one face. The adhesive tape is fully removable in an aqueous alkaline medium.
