The invention concerns a medical bedpan for receiving excreta or urine from a bedridden person lying on his back. The medical bedpan comprises means for positioning the person in a position wherein his legs can be slightly bent and his back in lumbar kyphosis position, said position promoting the expulsion of his physical needs, said means consisting of an open pit (100), said pit (100) being laterally framed by wings (121) or (122) transversely extended by a support surface (130) enclosing one end (111) of said pit (100). The invention is characterised in that each of the wings (121) or (122) is respectively connected to the support surface (130) by an S-shaped wall (161) or (162).
