<p>The present invention proposes a signaling method for transparent data services in a wireless telecommunication system, which services transmit use data on a use data channel (TCH) separately from associated signaling data transmitted on a signaling channel (SACCH), wherein signaling data transmitted on the signaling channel (SACCH) are subjected to an enhanced modulation method which carries more signaling data. Also, the present invention proposes such a signaling method for transparent data services in a wireless telecommunication system, which services transmit use data on a use data channel separately from associated signaling data transmitted on a signaling channel, wherein data transmission is based on a HSCSD configuration such that a plurality of at least two time slots of a TDMA frame are grouped to define a HSCSD channel and one of said grouped time slots is defined as a master channel carrying signaling data, and at least one of the other time slots is used as an auxiliary signaling and/or data channel. Thereby, outband signaling is enabled without any disturbances to the transparent data flow. Moreover, an auxiliary data channel is provided without disturbance to the transparent data flow. In summary, the present invention removes previously present limitations regarding available transparent data services in wireless telecommunication systems.</p> |
