The damper cylinder (7) is pivoted on the glovepocket (1) with a first bearing (6) and is pivoted via a third bearing (14) on a switching lever (11) so pivoted via bearing (12) on the pocket flap (4). With the flap (4) closed, a connecting line (17) between the bearings (12 and 14) includes an angle ( alpha ) with the effective line (28) of the damper (7). As the flap opens, the included angle diminishes and the lever (11) feeds compressive force into the damper until the connecting and effective lines (17,28) run parallel whereupon the angle ( alpha ) once again increases and the lever (11) places the damper in tension. The first bearing (6) stands eccentric to the damper line (28) and lever (11) is coupled to the flap via catcher lever (19) as swiveled between flap and lever (11) via bearings (18 and 21) with the result that the lever (19) forms an endstop to define the opening movement of the pocket flap (4).
