PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress attenuation or cutting-off of a laser beam made incident on an SIL quartz lens or the shifting an optical spot projected to a recording medium from the SIL quartz lens, and to prevent the peeling-off of the SIL quartz lens from a floating slider in an optical bead under for a device that records or reproduces information by inadiating a recording medium with a laser beam. SOLUTION: This optical head is constructed in such a manner that a roughly 3/4 ball SIL quartz lens 5 is provided in a slider floating on a recording medium, a laser beam is made incident from the upper semispherical surface of the SIL quartz lens 5, oozed from a lower flat surface and an optical spot is projected onto the recording medium. The SIL quartz lens 5 is glass-jointed to the slider via a metal film. |
