PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start printing from a correct starting position at all times regardless of the mechanical accuracy of a head moving mechanism. SOLUTION: After a specified positional relationship of print start position is set with respect to a frame or a rule previously inscribed on a print object (s1), a sensor is moved along with a print head (s2) and the inscribed matter is searched by means of the sensor (s3). When the inscribed matter is detected by a specified detection unit 21 having a specified positional relationship with the print position of print head within the detection range of the sensor, printing is started by means of the print head (s4, s5, s8 → s6). At the moment when the specified detection unit of the sensor detects the inscribed matter on the print object, the print head is located oppositely to a position having a specified positional relationship with the inscribed matter on the print object and when print is started at that moment, a specified positional relationship can be realized between the inscribed matter and the print start position. |
