PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an operator to easily designate a route desired to be subjected to paint out processing to a diagram on which the edges of the route are drawn and to paint out the route with preliminarily set color or pattern. SOLUTION: Designation points P1, P2 and P3 are successively designated within a road for a diagram where the edges ED of the road are drawn. When the point P2 is specified, an area where the point P2 exists from among the areas devided by a candidate area CA1 and the edges ED is converted into preliminarily set color or pattern. Next, when the point P3 is specified, an area where the point P3 exists from among the area devided by the area CA1 and the edges ED is converted into a preliminarily set color or pattern.
