PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrophotographic photoreceptor excellent in printing durability, wear resistance, scratch resistance or the like for repeated use by incorporating a specified wax into the surface of a photosensitive layer and using a specified compd. as a charge transfer agent. SOLUTION: In this electrophotographic photoreceptor produced by forming a photosensitive layer on a conductive supporting body, the outermost layer of the photosensitive layer contains a wax having ester groups, and a compd. having an enamine skeleton is used as a charge transfer agent. The wax used for the outermost layer of the photosensitive layer is a wax having ester groups. The wax having ester groups is not specified, and is preferably produced from an carboxylic acid and an alcohol as the source components, and at least either the carboxylic acid or the alcohol preferably has >=12 carbon atoms, further preferably has >=12 and <=40 carbon atoms. The larger the number of carbon atoms, the wax has the higher melting point and better mechanical characteristics, however, the wax is easily precipitated in a coating liquid. Therefore, the number of carbon atoms in the aforementioned range is preferable.
