PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-mounted type display device prevented from getting in such using environment that comfortability is spoiled because it is continuously used in a long time. SOLUTION: This head-mounted type display device is provided with a character producing means 10 producing a warning sentence and a control means 7 controlling a video so as display it at display systems for a left eye and a right eye 12 and 28. Then, continuous display time is monitored in accordance with the display start action of the video executed at the display systems 12 and 28. When the continuous display time arrives at the prescribed time, the warning sentence is displayed at the display systems 12 and 28.
