PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always ensure the removing capacity of a harmful component in a water purifier wherein a harmful component in water is adsorbed and removed by the adsorbing action of activated carbon. SOLUTION: Two cartridges 1 and 2 housing activated carbon molded objects are provided in parallel. Heaters 1c and 2c are provided in the cartridges 1 and 2 and, when the adsorbing action of activated carbon is performed in one of two cartridges 1 and 2, an adsorbed harmful component is separated by heating activated carbon in the other one of them to perform the regeneration of activated carbon. These adsorbing and regenerating actions can be changed over between both cartridges 1 and 2.
