PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication equipment that uses a quick memory transmission function to conduct efficient quick memory transmission by trying redialing when the next redialing is available even during storage of data of a read original to a memory. SOLUTION: A system control section 5 of this communication unit controls a CCU 10 when a call with a transmission destination cannot be established or the call is interrupted due to a communication error in the case of quick memory transmission where image information of an original is read and also facsimile data are transmitted to the destination at the same time so that the CCU 1 starts redialing to the transmission destination independently of an operating state of an image information memory 2 that stores image information.
