PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively support the head of an occupant with a headrest in the rear end collision of a vehicle. SOLUTION: This occupant protective device is provided with a headrest driving means driving a headrest to move forward in response to the pressure contact force when the back of an occupant is pressed to a seat back at the time the rear end collision of a vehicle, a rear end collision predicting means 7 predicting the rear end collision of the vehicle, and an occupant moving means 8 moving the occupant to the seat back side when the rear end collision of the vehicle is predicted by the rear end collision predicting means 7.
